Thanks to our “embedded Texas patriot” in D.C., Anita Ross, the White House agreed to lower their flags to half-mast in honor of the Ft. Hood massacre.
FYI…the White House/staff had no intention of lowering the flags…in fact, early Friday AM after the “closet Muslim terrorist” had finished his “atrocity against Army” warriors, the flags were raised to “full staff.”
Incensed and incredulous at the POTUS and his staff/subordinates’ complete disregard and disrespect for the dead, dying, and wounded in Texas…flying the Flag at “full staff” in D.C. was unacceptable to Anita Ross…a Patriot from Texas A & M and the mother of a Marine currently serving in Afganistan.
Anita burned up the phone lines in D.C. and in Texas…Congressmen/women…Governor Perry’s office…White House…all heard from her as she “assaulted the arrogance” of the clueless bureaucrats who mostly despise our military…demanding that honor be shown by lowering the flags.
She was stonewalled, ignored, shunned…everywhere but in Texas.
When it became obvious that the Liar-in-Chief and his team were completely ignorant, insensitive and insipid toward the “atrocity” (not “tragedy”) at Ft. Hood…
When it became obvious that Anita Ross was not going to take “no” for an answer…
When it became obvious that Duty, Honor, Country deserved recognition…
When it became obvious that Americans true to the Red/White/Blue demanded “half mast” honor…
The clowns in D.C. lowered the flags…
Anita received a call from someone at the White House around 10:30 AM Friday morning…”Are you the Mrs. Ross who called about the flags?”
She replied, “Yes.”
“Well, the President has ordered the flags flown at half mast…we just wanted to let you know. WE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT…THANK YOU FOR MAKING US AWARE OF IT!”
So now you know…THEY NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT IT!!!
Tell you anything about the allegiance of “our leaders?”

Anita Ross is a true Patriot and she deserves a Hip, Hip, Hooray!!!!
Please let her know that she is truly appreciated for her dogged determination to see that our brave men and women in uniform are respected, rewarded, and revered for their sacrifice and “standing in the trenches” for our freedom!

I met Anita at Michelle Bachmann’s “House Call” last Thursday at the wall in front of the western Capitol steps. I had driven from Rochester, New York and got there at 7:30am. She had been there hours before me. She was giving people the building names and numbers where they could find their congressmen to lobby against Pelosicare. She is an American Patriot and hero! I was honored and blessed to meet her and am keeping in touch.

Yes I applaud the work that was “Required” to lower the flags to hafe mast by Anita Ross. This adminatration is the worst crises this country has endored, I find that even when most Americans did not want this “Death Bill” They went ahead and voted it in. They all need to be replaced ASAP.
This Person who did that horrible thing in Texas was no differant than the idiots that flew airplanes into the towers and should be treated no less than the rest of them. I say send him to “Gitmo”. As to the claim that they “didn’t know”, this is a LIE. They lowered the flags to half-staff when Ted Kennedy died.

Way to go Anita! As the wife of a WWII & Korean Veteran, I am appalled at the indifference toward our military that the Obama WH has shown in recent days and weeks. First he and his “military” advisors(and I use that term loosely) have left our young men and women hanging in Afganistan for purely political purposes. Then this past week, it was more important to attend to the needs of our Native Americans than it was to address the carnage at Fort hood. Washington needs to get their priorities straight if they expect to remain in the “driver’s seat” for much longer!

Isn’t there an Office of Protocol in the White House? Or did they get rid of that to make room for another Czaar. How could they not know the flag should be lowered? My grandfather was an Italian immigrant that came over to this country and entered at Ellis Island. My father was a retired Air Force member who served three tours in Viet Nam. I served for 27 years in the U. S. Army system, having served the first 8 months after the WTC attacks before retiring and my son is an Army veteran with two tours in Iraq. Dear Anita, Thank God for an American who stands up and notices what’s going on and does something about it.
This act was horrendous and it shouldn’t have happened. Since it did we owe not just those families in their tragedies but all the Military Families with either Veterans still living or those presently serving in the armed forces. I as a former military wife (Navy) still get chills whenever I see the flag lowered and I still feel so proud of my husband as well as all others who were and are willing to stand and fight for us.
It’s time certain people wake up to the fact that this Country is only as strong as it’s patriotism and as the Bible says – our love for one another!
