Huckabee’s Willie Horton II?

Faces of the fallen: Sgt. Mark Renninger, 39; Officers Ronald Owens, 37; Tina Griswold, 40; Gregory Richards, 42.

The man being sought by police was granted clemency by former GOP Arkansas Mike Huckabee despite his violent history and vehement protestations from prosecutors and victims’ family members.

He was most recently in jail for alleged second-degree rape of a child.

This isn’t Huckabee’s first Horton moment…

A chilling flashback to 2004 from the Arkansas Leader:

Pulaski County Prosecuting Attor-ney Larry Jegley cites numerous examples of Huckabee’s freeing felons who go on committing more crimes and wind up back in prison.

Maurice Clemmons received a 35-year sentence in the early 1990s for armed robbery and theft. His sentence was commuted in May 2000, and he was let out three months later.

The following March, Clemmons committed two armed robberies and other crimes and was sentenced to 10 years. You’d think they’d keep him locked up after that, but no: He was paroled last March and is now wanted for aggravated robbery.

If Huckabee decides to set these criminals free, Jegley says, at least “he ought to give an accounting. I can’t imagine why in the world they’d want them released from jail. There’s a good reason we’re afraid of them. The sad truth is that a significant number of people re-offend.”

The victims’ families, Jegley says, “deserve an explanation. I look into people’s eyes who’ve suffered the unspeakable. I believe they deserve justice.

Update:  Suspect in Washington State Police Killings Shot Dead

Authorities in two states were criticized amid revelations that Clemmons was allowed to walk the streets despite a teenage crime spree in Arkansas that landed him an 108-year prison sentence. He was released early after then-Gov. Mike Huckabee commuted his sentence.

Huckabee cited Clemmons’ youth in granting the request. But Clemmons quickly reverted to his criminal past, violated his parole and was returned to prison. He was released again in 2004.

“This guy should have never been on the street,” said Brian D. Wurts, president of the police union in Lakewood. “Our elected officials need to find out why these people are out.”

Huckabee said on Fox News Channel’s “The O’Reilly Factor” Monday night that Clemmons was allowed back on the street because prosecutors failed to file paperwork in time.

Pulaski County Prosecutor Larry Jegley, whose office opposed Clemmons’ parole in 2000 and 2004, said Huckabee’s comments were “red herrings.”

“My word to Mr. Huckabee is man up and own what you did,” Jegley said.

Clemmons was charged in Washington state earlier this year with assaulting a police officer and raping a child, and investigators in the sex case said he was motivated by visions that he was Jesus Christ and that the world was on the verge of the apocalypse.

But he was released from jail after posting bail with the assistance of Jail Sucks Bail Bonds.

Documents related to those charges indicate a volatile personality. In one instance, he is accused of gathering his wife and young relatives and forcing them to undress.

“The whole time Clemmons kept saying things like trust him, the world is going to end soon, and that he was Jesus,” a Pierce County sheriff’s report said.

XEROX IS DOING SOMETHING COOL

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com   you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in  Iraq . You can’t pick out who gets it, but it will go to a member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!!    It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?    Whether you are for or against the war, our soldiers over there need to know we are behind them.

This takes just 10 seconds and it’s a wonderful way to say thank you.    Please take the time and please take the time to pass it on for others to do.  We can never say enough thank you’s.

Thanks for taking to time to support our military!

America’s Rebirth

November 30, 2009

from The American Spectator

John Bolton has referred to President Obama as America’s first post-American President. By this he means that instead of pursuing America’s interests in relation to the rest of the world, President Obama is pursuing the rest of the world’s interests in relation to America. In other words, Obama is imposing on America the policies the rest of the world would like to see stuffed down our throats.

This is why it seems like we are losing our country piece by piece, and that America is in an accelerating downward spiral. To those who are paying attention, and not just blindly accepting the Obama/Democrat talking points, everything suddenly seems so different, because America was conquered by an alien ideology in 2008.

Reagan’s Peace and Prosperity

The rest of America experienced the Reagan Revolution starting in 1980. The failed Keynesian economics from the 1970s was producing double-digit inflation, double-digit unemployment, and double-digit interest rates. Reagan’s strong dollar monetary policies cut inflation in half by 1982, and cut it in half again by 1983, taming it still to this very day. In 1983, the greatest economic boom in world history took off, as a result of Reagan’s free market economics.

The Keynesian-induced business cycle that produced four increasingly worse recessions from 1969 to 1982 was replaced by a shocking 25-year economic boom, with only mild, short downturns in 1990 and 2001. As Art Laffer and Steve Moore point out in The End of Prosperity, more wealth was created in America during that 25-year boom than in the entire previous history of America combined, from George Washington up to Ronald Reagan. The boom spread worldwide, boosted by other countries adopting Reaganomics as well. We began to see a blooming middle class as a result in places like India, Brazil, and even China.

Reagan also aggressively fought the Cold War by pursuing his powerful defense buildup, funding and supporting revolutionaries on the outskirts of the Soviet Empire like the mujahedeen in Afghanistan and the contras in Nicaragua, and affirmatively seeking to cut off the sources of hard currency for the weak and unproductive Soviet Communist economy. As a result, in 1989 the Berlin Wall fell, and the Soviet Empire collapsed. As the British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher said, “Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot.”

These are the reasons that Reagan will be recognized as the most successful President in American history.

From October 2008 before the election, Walid Shoebat talks about the impact an Obama Presidency would have on this nation if elected. He goes through many details which have been corroborated by other experts but with a unique perspective; Shoebat is an ex-Muslim (apostate)who actually converted to Christianity.   He lived in Chicago, knows the inside story of the organizer in chief’s dubious associations and activities. Major Nidal Hasan had an enabler

All those red flags but no one did anything. Political correctness took the lives of 14 people.

by Mark Steyn at MACLEANS.CA

on Thursday, November 26, 2009 1:10pm

Ever since this magazine attracted the attention of Canada’s “human rights” regime, defenders of the system have clung to a familiar argument. In a letter to Maclean’s, Jennifer Lynch, Q.C., Canada’s chief censor, put it this way:

“Steyn would have us believe that words, however hateful, should be given free rein. History has shown us that hateful words sometimes lead to hurtful actions that undermine freedom and have led to unspeakable crimes. That is why Canada and most other democracies have enacted legislation to place reasonable limits on the expression of hatred.”

“Hateful words” can lead to “unspeakable crimes.” The problem with this line is that it’s ahistorical twaddle, as I’ve pointed out. Yet still it comes up. It did last month, during my testimony to the House of Commons justice committee, when an opposition MP mused on whether it wouldn’t have been better to prohibit the publication of Mein Kampf.

“That analysis sounds as if it ought to be right,” I replied. “But the problem with it is that the Weimar Republic—Germany for the 12 years before the Nazi party came to power—had its own version of Section 13 and equivalent laws. It was very much a kind of proto-Canada in its hate speech laws. The Nazi party had 200 prosecutions brought against it for anti-Semitic speech. At one point the state of Bavaria issued an order banning Hitler from giving public speeches.”

And a fat lot of good it all did.

But still the old refrain echoes through the corridors of power: vigorous honest free speech will lead to mass murder unless we subject it to “reasonable limits.”

Actually, the opposite is true: a constrained and regulated culture policed by politically correct enforcers leads to slaughter. I’m not being speculative here, as Commissar Lynch is about my murderous prose style. It’s already happened, just a couple of weeks back. Thirteen men and women plus an unborn baby were gunned down at Fort Hood by a major in the U.S. Army. Nidal Hasan was the perpetrator, but political correctness was his enabler, every step of the way. In the days that followed, the near parodically absurd revelations piled up like an overripe satire, but a two-panel cartoon at the Toronto blogger Scaramouche’s website provided the pithiest distillation:
“This is your brain. This is your brain on political correctness”—a small and shrivelled thing.

Major Hasan couldn’t have been more straightforward about who and what he was. An army psychiatrist, he put “SoA”—i.e., “Soldier of Allah”—on his business card. At the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, he was reprimanded for trying to persuade patients to convert to Islam and fellow pupils objected to his constant “anti-American propaganda,” but, as the Associated Press reported, “a fear of appearing discriminatory against a Muslim student kept officers from filing a formal written complaint.”

This is your brain on political correctness.

Read it all.

This is your brain on political correctness.

Who is the friend of little guy?

“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”

- Ronald Reagan

Who is the friend of Wall Street bankers?

And who says he is having a very good crisis? Ever heard the name Soros? Maybe it’s time you did.

At an Austin MoveOn.org rally in favor of government run health care – organized on behalf of the community

$oro$

organizer in chief – we held a counter rally. There was one of our patriots dressed as Lady Liberty carrying a sign denouncing Soros. One of the white, female upper middle class Obots walked up to her and asked, “Who is Soros?” The Lady had to explain to her.

It’s funny how people don’t know the name of the megalomaniac who is pulling the strings that forcefully impact their daily lives.

Hillary Clinton never clearly identified the vast right wing conspiracy that was out to get her husband when the Monica fit hit the shan. But the vast left wing conspiracy has been listed  in detail like the nutritional ingredients on the side of a box of corn flakes and — oops, she is one of them.

The Shadow Party: How George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Sixties Radicals Seized Control of the Democratic Party

This book was published way back in 2007.  I’d say it’s time for concerned and responsible patriots to get a clue by availing themselves of the documented facts being kept in the treasure trove of the alternative media. We have seen that David Horowitz is a reliable source. Begin here. And for something very special go here.

Forewarned is forearmed.

9/11 Never Forget Coalition December 5 Rally Against the NYC Terror Trial

In the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and what once was the soaring World Trade Center, the 911 Never Forget Coalition held a press conference to announce a huge demonstration against Obama’s atrocious move to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and his four co-conspirators to NYC to try them in a civilian  court. Sign the petition.
